Policies Overview

Policies enable an organisation to enforce its business rules. The policies are specific to the companies business needs.

Some of the policies include but not limited to;

Idle device lock

This feature enables the MDM application to lock an idle device. This basically means that if a device is left idle or unattended for a period of time, the user will be locked out and the user will be required to login again to be able to access the app.

2. Enable Location Tracking

This feature determines if location tracking should be enabled for a device. Once this policy is turned on for a device(s), the MDM admin is able to see the device' location at all times.

3. Location tracking interval

This policy determines the frequency with which to retrieve device location and calculate geofence.

4. Enforce Geofence

Policies can be mapped to devices or a group of devices. To map policies to a device, follow these steps.

2. View details of a policy and map the policy to a device

3. View the list of devices not mapped to the policy

3. View the device groups that have been mapped to the policy
