Introduction
Device Enrolment describes the process undertaken by an IT admin to onboard devices to their organization’s ecosystem. There are two methods for enrolling a device.
The Pre-enrolment or Bulk Enrolment process
...
In this process, a user is able to onboard their device either on their own or with support from their IT admin. the process follows the normal application installation process for Android applications. A step-by-step guide has been prepared for you and can be accessed here.
Pre-enrolment
In this process, the IT admin pre-enrols the device(s) on the SmartMDM admin console using a bulk template. With the bulk enrolment template, an IT admin is able to enrol up to 20,000 devices at a time without hassles.
Devices pre-enrolled will not be required to enter the company ID during device provisioning as the device is already recognized within the organization’s ecosystem as an authorized device.
Self Enrolment
In this process, a user is able to onboard their device either on their own or with support from their IT admin. Upon successful installation of the SmartMDM app, the user can log in with a valid credential created on their behalf by their admin.
