  1. Pre-enrolment or Bulk Enrolment process

  2. Self or Single Enrolment process

Admin Enrolment

The admin enrolment involves the user pre-enrolling their device on the portal. This can be either Single Device Enrollment or Bulk Device Enrollment. Bulk enrollment is very useful where the user has to enrol a large number of devices. The Bulk enrollment template allows users to enrol up to 1000 devices at a time.

P.S: The user doesn’t have to install MDM first for this process to be successful.

Self Enrolment

In this case, the user pre-installs the SmartMDM application on the device. When this happens, the device sends a tag request to the backend. These tag requests will be displayed on the “Tagging Request Approval” page on the portal and then an admin can go ahead and approve the requests as well as assign the device to an agent to create a user-device relationship.

info Pre-enrolment

In this process, the IT admin pre-enrolls the device from the SmartMDM admin console using a bulk template. With the bulk enrolment template, an admin is able to enroll up to 20,000 devices at a time without hassles. it helps you save time & increase faster onboarding time.

Devices pre-enrolled will not be required to enter the company ID during device provisioning as the device is already recognized within the organization’s ecosystem as an authorized device.

Care should be taken while filling out the bulk template to prevent entering the wrong device IMEI

Self Enrolment

In this process, a user is able to onboard the device by themselves without support from their admin. Upon successful installation of the SmartMDM app, the user can create their credentials or log in with a valid credential created on their behalf by their admin.

In this case, a user installs the SmartMDM application on the device and enters their valid company ID to tag the device to your organization.

Note

For Device Enrollment to be successful, the user must have “Available Enrollment Allocation”. If the user doesn’t have any allocation left, they will be unable to enrol more devices.
